Meet the Staff
John Whaley, Pastor John Whaley has been the pastor at First Baptist since February, 2005. He is married to Susan and they have two children: Anica and Austin. Before coming to First Baptist, he served churches in Florida, Texas, and Georgia. For seven years, he served with Watchman Fellowship, a ministry committed to reaching those trapped in the cults with the Gospel and equipping the Church in the areas of cult awareness and evangelism. Phil Guinn, Minister of Music Though we refer to Phil as our Minister of Music, his passion is leading people into the Presence of God through worship. Thus, in all reality, he really is our Minister of Worship. Phil is a creative and insightful worship leader who is used by God each week as he leads us to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. Phil is married to Julia and loves spending time with his children and grandchildren, working in the yard, and singing! That is exactly what God did when He sent us Adam and Julie Veal. Adam and Julie have been married for six years and have a beautiful little girl. Judy Webster, Children's Director Judy Webster is our newest staff member! Judy is a vibrant Christian who loves the Lord, loves children, and loves leading people to Jesus Christ! She is actively involved in our Awana ministry on Sunday nights and oversees our children's ministry at First Baptist Church.
